Memories of "The City"

I had a new experience this weekend.  I rode a fixed-gear bike in the city.  My wife was looking for a new bicycle so I figured that I'd test ride something myself.  While the experience wasn't quite as scary as I imagined, I was reminded of this video and my time in New York City... where the bike messengers, not unlike the cab drivers, are more than especially comfortable in confined spaces.  The fact that so many of them ride fixed-gears, despite my observations, is still baffling to me.  Messenger culture, however fascinating in any city, is truly unique in New York.  If you aren't one of the 1,600,000 who have seen this video already, enjoy it.  If you are, enjoy it again, I suppose.
